Goal: Design a towing and lifting beam suitable to pull floating monopiles of 6 meter diameter offshore. Upon arrival at the offshore location the piles had to be lifted out of the water without any further need for offshore lifting preparation.
Result: A lifting beam suitable for offshore towing and subsequent lifting of piles. Pin release mechanisms are integrated into the lifting beam for safe and fast disconnection of the lifting beam after the pile has been erected.
