Goal: Basic design of a pre-piling template for offshore wind farm projects. The piling template is used to pre-install piles with one vessel and at a later stage install the jacket construction by means of another vessel.
Result: The previous design of the pre-piling
template was optimized. The project included stress analysis of the pile
and the piling template. We also performed stability analyses to prove
that the template is stable at the seabed under all circumstances.
The piling template was designed such that the overall dimensions can be changed during the project. The corner assemblies are designed to receive different pile sizes. By means of active guides in the corner sleeves are provided to increase the accuracy of pile positioning and pile verticality.
